Hi,
We are trying to provide consolidated reporting in BW by extractin data from multiple R/3 systems. This means overlapping masters and the other complications associated with that. The job is obviously humungous. Is SAP MDM the best/only way to address this? I suppose in this scenario all the masters will be affected (material, gl account, customer etc). Is there any other precaution that need to be taken from the point of view of consolidation.

The most important thing to consider in this is your data model
dont touch the system till u'r data model is done ..
