Question:
Hello to everyone!
I'm currently working with IS-Utilities Business Content and I have a litle problem( or misunderstanding). The infocube 0UCSS_C04 has 2 key figures defined (in Cube definition -RSA1) : 0UCCOUNTDIF and 0UCCOUNT.
But when I have checked the dictionary I discovered that in the fact table (/BI0/F0UCSS_C04) there is only one key figure defined (UCCOUNTDIF).
This "problem" exists in several cubes, not only in this one.
Could you explain why there are such differences?
Best regards,
Costin
Answer:
We have this cube activated and populated, however we are not currently using it for any reporting.
Looking at the data in the cube, it appears you are right, there is only one key figure. I don't know why the model shows two, and help.sap.com didn't have any good answers.
There aren't that many of us Utilities folks on SAPFans. I'd be interested in getting your contact information for utility specific questions. You can get mine by clicking on my name.

Answer:
0UCSS_C04, is the stock statistics cube, the KF 0UCCOUNTDIFF - Change in stock, is a cumulative one. The other KF 0UCCOUNT - Stock is a Non-cumulative KF and is derived from the 0UCCOUNTDIFF during the query run time. Hope this helps.
Now I have a question to you guys.
We use this cube extensively, the information is summarized on 0CALMONTH basis. You get the stock figures only for the month you initialize the cube, if you run the report for months other than initialized month, you don't get the stock, all you get is the 'change in stock'.
However ifyou give month range to include the intialization month, then it works, but this range will keep on increasing as the time goes by and could lead to performance problems ??
Any Clues?
thanx in advance,
shashi
