Hi,
We want to give our users authorizations display and execute work books only.
For that we created separate role and assigned to the user. we assigned the queries with authorization display and execute only in that role.
my question here are
1) How to disable user not to create NEW queries and not to delete workbooks we created on quries. User can delete what ever workbooks he creats based on this base workbooks.
which authrization/profile object will do the work.
2) After assigning the role we created to the user. when we try to connect to BW thru Bex we are getting error user does not have sufficient access to connect thru RFC. Wha is the role we should assign where user can connect to BW.
we don't have a basis person on site, any help would be appreciated

Sam,
1) It has been some time since I worked on BW security but I believe the object you are looking for is S_RS_COMP. You need to limit activity for this object to 03 (display), 06(enter) and 22 (execute).
2) The only time I have had issues going from Bex to excel, I updated my patch level and it worked after that.

Just remembered for item 2) I also updated logon to SAP Logon 620 and that solved the RFC error.
