Question:
Hi
I am experiencing some load issues specifically with my delta inits failing. The loads do not fail immediately, system seems to try repeatedly until it times out and becomes red (like 8 hours later).
If I go to the monitor and check the status for the orange (in process) or red (past inits) , I get types of red/failed requests (see attached):
- May have gotten all records e.g. 126 of 126 records
- Got no record e.g. 0 of 2000 records.
Now when I go to ALE management in datawarehouse, I get an IDOC in status 64. Then manually process faulty IDOC with BD87.
Any thoughts on why this may be happening and what I can do to resolve?
Thanks,
Catherine

I am on BW 3.1
Answer:
All I can offer is that under 2.1c we had an issue with IDOC getting stuck. I believe there is some setting that determines if they are sent immediately or batched.
We were setup to have the IDOC sent immediately but they were continuously stuck in 64 status until we manually pushed them - I think BD87 as you mentioned. It was a BD transaction for sure.
The way we ultimately resolved the issue was the "batch" the IDOC and then Basis setup some job that runs every 2 minutes that sends the IDOCs.
We have since upgraded to 3.1 Content and we still operate this way.
I don't know if that helps but that is what we did.
Answer:
the job is called RBDAPP01
but you don't have to schedule it. You just have to change an entry in table TEDEF in order to change the behaviour of idocs. for more information see note 555229
