Question:
Our BW DEV system is currently connected to R/3 DEV client 010. Unfortunately there is no data in this client and most users do not have access as this is the gold client. We are trying to start our unit testing in DEV and need data for the tests. There is sufficient data in R/3 DEV client 030 and many users who can produce more data have access to this client. We are wondering if there is a way to switch all of our source system dependent config (datasources, transfer structure, transfer rules...) from DEV client 010 to DEV client 030. I believe there is a way to accomplish this using the save for system copy option in the transport connection. Any info on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't tried this for another client, but for another system.
Here the quick and dirty way is just to move the pointes for the R/3 connection in tcode SM59 both in BW and R/3 system, but since it is the same R/3 system i dont think you have to change anything in R/3.
