does anyone know how to view always the key figure in the workbook with two decimals?

thks in advance.

Answer:
if you're changing an existing query in an existing workbook, try the following: right-click on the result area of the query in the workbook, choose properties, go to the 2nd tab page and check if the flag "return to global definition on refresh" is ON.

If not, flag it on, save the workbook and refresh it...

Answer:
nothing happens. the same problem

Answer:
Try going to 'Change Query (Local View)' and reset to two decimal places in the properties of the key figure. Then execute from the local query definition. Then resave the workbook.

I'd guess that when the workbook was first saved, the decimal setting was 4 places.

Answer:
I encountered a similar problem.

I executed a query which had %A in one of the CKF and I forgot to set the decimal places, and I saved the WB. Then I changed the KF to 2 decimals in the CKF definition, and refreshed the WB, and it showed only 2 decimal places.

This morning I opened the WB and refreshed it and found it displaying 4 decimals for the KF that I changed yesterday.

I checked the properties of the KF in the query designer view, and it says (0.00 from key figure). So I went into the properties of the CKF and found it unchanged, as 0.00.

Another refresh still displayed 4 decimals. Then I overwrote the properties from the query designer window to 0.00 and re-executed the query and it was then OK.

Then I closed the WB after saving it, and reopened it. It showed with 4 decimals for the KF

Then I changed the WB property to return to global definition on refresh, and refreshed the WB. It went back to 2 decimal places.

Definitely a bug.

Answer:
A workbook keeps the formatting that is has when it is saved, reaglrdless of the Global Query Definition (as long as "return to global definition on refresh" is not selected).

Repeat:
To reset the decimal formatting already saved in a workbook, go to 'Change Query (Local View)' and reset to two decimal places in the properties of the key figure. Then execute from the local query definition. Then resave the workbook.
