I'm not familiar with BW, but was asked this question: Can we refresh BWD from BWP?
I'm more familiar with R/3 and know not to do this there. I assume that it's not a good idea in BW either...

I've heard of it being done but there is a whole done of stuff that must be recompiled and/or regenerated afterwards.
