Was just wondering if anyone has thoughts on how we can perform ETL
function during the historical data uploading in BW
How can be perform the data validation process before uploading the data
in infocubes

normally you want to ETL functions at the source (if it is one time),, u can validate the results by writing some reconciliation prorgams in the source system (legacy)..
i'm assuming you are going to use flat files to load history..
write some programs to check the totals of KFs in the flat files.. also u can do some more validation in BW after the loads
