Question:
Hi there,
our client has the requirement to format anything that has a negative value with a red font (not highlight the entire cell red with an exception)
i created an exception, and then changed the style of that exception in excel to be a white cell with red font.
the problem is when there is a negative value in the result row, the cell is not yellow with a red font, but white with a red font, and the other values, are not blue with a red font, but white with a red font.
we want the result rows (where there is a negative) to be yellow with a red font.
and the other values to be light blue with a red font.
any ideas?
PS, i am on BW 3.1 and do not want to include a macro in the workbook.
cheers
Answer:
Change the style of your exception in excel.

Answer:
If i change the style of the exception in excel, it affects the result rows as well as the other key figure values.
so the result rows will no longer be yellow.
what i want to be able to do is have one style for the exception in a result row (red font, yellow cell) and another style for the exception for other key figure values (red font, light blue cell)
is this possible?
