Question:
I've been researching where BW stores data in the different tablespaces, and have run across a question.
If you simply have a table name, such as /BIC/B00049250000, how can you find out what object it belongs to? I've tried using SE16 to look at the data and make an educated guess, but I'm hoping there's a report/transaction out there that will simply show a list of tables and objects.
Thanks

Answer:
SE11 may be a better bet as it gives a description of the table in the short text.
Or even in se16, just type in /BIC/B000*, and you'll get a listing with names!

Thanks - it never dawned on me to pay much attention to the descriptions that show up in the search window. Usually I just type in the tablename directly.
