"Most Current Data" vs. "Most Recently Loaded

Question: In Bex, "Most Recently Loaded Request" as a filter seems to bring in only the last request loaded to the InfoProvider. I can't figure out what "Most Current Data" (0S_RQMRC) does.

What I'm trying to do is write a query against a custom cube that contains monthly "slices" of our costs. The query needs to display the most recent month's data loaded. However, using "Most Current Data" doesn't give me that. When I display the text for filters, "Most Current Data" contains the string "<= 245956". That request number isn't in the InfoProvider so I get no data. What does this variable represent?

Thanks,

Answer:
That is for SEM purposes. In SEM, you post data when you create a forecast or a budget. The cube is updated, through a request.

But, this request is closed every 50 000 lines, or when you switch from SEM update mode to R/3 update mode.

Imagine that a version of budget does not contain exactly 50 000 lines (can be more, can be less), the request is not closed into the cube management, but these data need however to be displayed. So, in Bex, you use the option that you mentioned to display them, even if the request is not green because not concluded.

Answer:
to summarize: the "Most Current Data" and "Most Recently Loaded" works on request ID's, not on logic sets of data itself.

Can you maybe explain a little more in detail what you want to achive in your report (the filter you want to have), maybe we can think of a solution...
