Evaluation Paths and Views

Question: Hi,

Exasperated by help.sap.com I turn to you.

Would I be correct in assuming that if I create an appropriate evaluation path and allow users to adopt it as a 'view', then I could, for example, allow team leaders to see all the work items of members of their team?

Assuming I am correct in this assumption, can I then take the concept one step further and create an evaluation path that when adopted as a view would allow to a team leader to see certain types of work item belonging to their team members?

Any help/advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Mick

Answer:
In the locked thread you mentioned:
And, whilst SWI5 might be suitable for the team leader/team member example I sited, it would not be suitable for some of my other requirements. For example I want members of a team to be able to see all work items for all other members of the team who hold the same position as them

In that case you should be assigning all the position holders as selected agents. But as you might know, once one of the selected agents starts or reserves the WI, it disappears from all other agents' list. The only way to make it visible to all others again is by having the user or the workflow admin to "Replace" the WI. You can also write a cutom ABAP to Replace all Started/Reserved WIs on periodic basis, which I do at my client using the WAPI functions.
