just want to understand the logic of process chain when dealing with ODS object.
i have a ODS and an Infocube. I will use this ODS to keep detail data and Cube to store summary data. My flow will be for R3 -> ODS - > Cube.
i loaded a request of data into my ODS and from ODS, i set it to automatic update data target. When i built my Process chain, i can see the is a further processing chain object after ODS activation.
I have scheduled the process chain and the data is successfully loaded to ODS and then automatically updated to infocube. when i checked my infocube, i see that request is stated as Initial load.
***is it default that every load is INIT load if we didn't specify ?
i then schedule the same process chain to load next batch of data, and this time system automatic knows that the second run would be a Delta. My question is , how does system knows this request should be a delta request ?

He just keeps track of it in one of it's administration tables (which he checks before he 'chooses' an infopackage...).
