Hi,
We have data in IC 0PA_C01. Two additional fields are required to be added to this IC. The requirement is now to populate these added fields by writing an ABAP program to fill them.
I was asked to take on the ABAP program, but my understanding is that this is not a very wise approach because of the SIDs. By filling the fields with data and ignoring the SIDs for these fields won't do the job.
Is my understanding correct?
The only way to do this is to populate data from the source and reload.
Please advise.

Hi,
I was asked to post this question even though I believe that SAP generates the SIDs. The question is why not that this can't be done?
The other question is whether the PSA can be used to fill the data for these 2 newly added fields and then update the IC afterwards?
