data is not fully uploeaded into the infocube.

Question: hi
i am uploading data into the infocube through PSA, it has several key figures, now my problem is that data is passed to the PSA and available in PSA also but the same data is not fully available into the infocube (some key figures are available but for some it is not available, where as all data is available in the PSA )

some thing to tell are
1. request is totally ok and green also available for the reporting.
2. all objects are consistant and active.
3. no errors have been detected while and after scheduling the infopackage.
4. update rules are created and data source is also OK.

can some one please tell me why the data is not fully avaialbel into the PSA ?

Answer:
two things to check

1. if the key figures in PSA are the same in Cube
2. update rules are correct and active for these key figure

I dont see any reason why it should not load

also how are you checking the data ??
if u'r doing it thru bex .... try to access the fact table directly and see if you have relevant data.

Answer:
hi
glad to find ur interest to solve my problem.
well i again had a look at update rule, i noted that the column for which data is not uploaded into the infocube is gray and says no update, but still update rule is still active.
i think the problem lies because of this only.
how can i make update possible for that perticular column in the infocube by making change in update rule.
kindly guide.

Answer:
see the problem column is a date column. i deleted the infocube data, also deleted the update rule and created a new update rule but still it shows that 'no update' in update rule.
i also checked the definintion of the date infoobject , this infoobject is active and data type is 'dats'.
now i think if i could manage to upload posssible for this date in update rule, this problem might be solved.
how to make upload possible for this field.
kindly help.

Answer:
Hi sunshore,

I assume you are talking about an additional key field in the update rules, right?
Sounds like the technical names of the InfoObjects are not the same in InfoSource and InfoCube. If that's the case, system cannot automatically 'propose' the mapping. Try to set the update rule manually to update and select your field from the source structure.

Good luck!

Best Regards,
Eric

hi eric
this date field is key figure and is already present in infosource ,so data has been uploaded in the PSA, but in update rule for this date filed, it says no update possible (gray color symbol), i have tried evn to change the concerned infoobject, but no effect.
so i think if i succeed in making upadte possible for this date field in the update rule, problem will be solved as PSA already conteins data for the field.
so how do i make update possible for this field in the update rule, that is my problem.

Answer:
Hi sunshore,

sorry for not reading your first posting properly.
However, as long as your source and target key figure have the same data type, you should be able to map them manually. I suspect you are not using the same InfoObject as the system is not proposing the mapping.

Please check your Update Rule Details for the Date key figure:
update type: Addition
update method: Source*/Formula/Routine?

* If the Field is not available here, data types of source and target are different.

Good Luck
