Hi SAP BW Gurus
we would really appreciate if could write down some steps to get statistics cube populated.
I have activated all the cubes. In R3 I do not see any datasource either in table ROOSource or using the transaction code RSA5.
How does this work???. We are on 2.1C.

The BW statistics cube are in BW. You have to run SBIW in BW and transfer the DS.
Run the 'Transfer Business Content DS' and use application comp. TCT
Choose the DSs and transfer. Then in the source sys. tree, go to the and on the BW system icon (the one that you are actually logged in) and replicate DS etc. etc.
You will see your statistics stuff under Technical content.
It has nothing to do with R/3.

how are they then populated ?
I hear about a workbook containing all the queries in the same place, what's his name and how to use it ? do I have to assign it to my user via pfcg ?
Answer:
From the AWB menu, go to tools->bw statistics and check all the BWTCs for OLAP & WHM and save.
I hope you ran the initialized delta and created and scheduled the infopackages for deltas. I though you knew how cubes were populated with data, hence I did not mention these steps. I apologize.

After you schedule the loads, You can write your own queries on the statistics cube and attach them to roles..
or there are several business content queries you could run .. go ahead and activate the business content queries and workbooks

Run program RSDDK_STA_WRITE_IN_CUBE (SE38) to transfer the statistics data into the cube.
