When I try to edit master data in BW , it doesn't allow me to save it .Is it because the data was already being used in the cubes ?Also if somebody edited master data please tell me how.Thanks in advance

Why not change the Master data in the source system and reload it again. It will not take much time also.

Yes , that could be a solution but about the junk master data that already exists ( which needs to be cleaned up ).So the only solution seems to be deleting the cube data where this InfoObject is used & then delete the whole master data & re-load it .Thanks for your response anyway
