Question:
hi all,
We have all our transactional infopackages flaged so no records are upload if no master data exists for a characteristic.
Those infopackages from an R/3 source system and with an ODS or a Cuve as data targets, work properly, i.e. they give an erroneous load when find a char. value not present in the proper SID table.
But, those extracting data from flat files and loading it into ODS'es ,just let all records be updated and activated into the ODS'es ,althought some of those records contain char. values with no SID in the proper master data table.
Can anyone help with this issue ¿?¿?
We are using BW 3.1..

Hi,
When posting to an ODS, the actual value is posted instead of a SID. I think this could be the reason why you experience this behavior. Possible, you will have to create your own checks.

but... if no check is posible while loading into an ODS...
then why we're receiving an error when we load records from an R/3 source system that contains chars. values with no SID's in master data to an ODS.......
and when we load from a Flat File the same information no error is produced ¿?¿?¿
