Question:
Hi all,
Question :
does anybody know a way to modify the properties of structure elements in a BEx query "en masse" (so not via the query designer)?
Background :
We created mega-queries with over 300 key figures in them, which are all flagged as "Hide". Users can then go into "Change Local View" and unflag the KF's they want to see.
But, apparently the possibilty to unhide a hidden KF in the local view was a SAP bug ( ) so from FronEndPatch they changed this : now you have a Hide Always (cant be changed in local view) and Hide Displayable (whihc can be changed). Problem is that now, everything has been changed to "Hide Always" automatically and i have to flag them all as "Hide Displayable".
Summarized :
What i'm basically looking (hoping) for are the tables were these properties are kept so i can create a little ABAP to modify them all at once. Anybody any idea?
Appreciate your help!
T.
Answer:
my first reaction would be to check the patch(es) you uploaded... if it has changed by a patch you should find all the info there

Answer:
There is indeed a note (687404) that perfectly describes that this was caused by Fron-End-Patch 11 and that the 'solution' is changing the properties of all key figures in the query from "Hide Always" to "Hide Displayable" ...
All no problem, except that those OSS-guys don't know my scenario : over 10 queries with each over 300 key figures that are now "Hide Always" and that should be "Hide Displayable" ... If i have to do this manually via the Query designer, i'll be totally RSI'd out... That's why i'm looking for some kinda way to do this via the tables or something like it...
Answer:
I see your point... but something in the patch should be the cause... so why not try to find it (since it seems no one knows the exact answer)?
To be really honest... I'm affraid you're snookered
How about trying to run a query from RSRT and have a database trace running at the same time. You might be able to find the tables this way...
