Surpressing Result Rows for characteristics in queries

Question: Hi All,

Does anyone know of a way to quickly change all characterics in all queries (even per query) to surpressing result rows ? rather than manually changing each characterisics?

Thanks

D.Singh

Answer:

How about right-mouse click > All characteristics > Suppress Result Rows > Always ???

Answer:
I believe D Singh is looking for a solution when creating the query, not during ad-hoc navigation.

Hi Folks,

since two years went by I was wondering whether there is now a trick available to suppress in the query building result rows for all characteristics. Or do you have to change it still for every charateristic manually?

Thanks in advance.

Answer:
I have once inadvertently accomplished that, but I can't reproduce the same behavior now because I don't recall the sequence of steps. Here is what I remember:

- when creating the query, just bring in only the characteristics. Don't touch any key figures. Notice that all the characteristics (both in rows and free characteristics) have result rows hidden.
- save the query.
- I don't recall what I did in this step.
- bring in the key figures now. All characteristics still have results rows hidden.

Since I don't remember the 3rd step, I see result rows being displayed as soon as I bring in the first key figure.
