Question:
Hello Workflow Gurus:
I was wondering if you could assist me with the following questions. We're using version 4.7.
1) Is there a way to synchronize passwords or test the rfc connection in 4.7? Is there a need?
2) I can send emails from R/3 to outlook no problem. However, workflow does not send a notification to outlook. SCOT seems to be set up correctly. I have created a valid Internet Address in SU01 for the receiver of the workflow, WF-Batch has been created, the Internet address for WF-BATCH is a valid address. SO18 has been set up with the Valid address but not the User WF-BATCH*. What am I missing? Do we have to set up the automatic forwarding in order to send workflow items to external mail clients? My research tells me that this only sends emails that have statuses ready or waiting to be processed. I also require a completed notification in outlook.
3) How do I bypass the SAP inbox from displaying the work item. i.e. I want outlook to display the work item and not the SAP inbox. I deactivated the check box in SO36 and I still get the item in my SAP inbox. The outbox, however, has entry with the attachment.
SAPConnect is our engine.
Thanks for all your help.
Answer:
Perhaps you are missing scheduling of report RSWUWFML, which ideally you need to schedule every 10 min. Also, go to SO16 and under mail sy gr select send to user's home address.
Answer:
Thanks I'll try that. Any ideas of preventing duplicate entries. i.e SAP Inbox and Outlook.
cheers!!
Answer:
Hello,
I agree with the previous posting: most likely RSWUWFML is not used here. A general misunderstanding seems to be here that autoforwarding in SAPoffice doesn't affect workitem except you use this report. The SO36 settings you mentioned also doesn't affect workitems.
My recommendation is to use RSWUWFML2. It is provided by note 627397 and related notes. It makes user management much easier and is much smarter than RSWUWFML.
