Question:
Hi guys.
I would like to "hear" yours comments about time-dependent functionallity.
I supposed that when an attribute (in cube) was marked as time-dependent, we would see in query when this attribute changes.
e.g.
Month...Customer...Customer Group
Jan..........111.............A
Feb..........111.............B
However, if I am right, it doesn´t happen. The query will show the data according to KEY DATE. That is, the same date for all data in query.
So, If I have more than one attribute time-dependent, with changes in different period, I can't show this changes in a query .
I think that Infoset and variable for key date can minimize the problem but don't solve it.
So I ask: Time-dependent - Does It really exists ??
Answer:
and what do you mean with KEY DATE???
why don't you come up with an example... a real InfoObject (maybe the exact same one as you are using in your time-dependent characteristic)?
yes, it does exist!
cheers,

Answer:
As far as I know you can only enter one key date in a query, and it's that date that will define the selected record of the time dependent attribute.
Yes it does exist.
If you have different attributes that are time-dependent, you will only see the data valid on the key date, so no 'multiple time dependency' if that's what you mean...
