Dear all,
I am trying to delete a source system flat file from my system (used for training porposes).
The deletion seems to e an easy process, however the system icon stands on the system under Modeling / Source System
If I use the option to verify the source system i receive the message that there is no entry for that logical system ZF00SF on the table TBDLS.
How can I make the icons / Source system desapear?!?!?!

try this:
1. make the system open for changes in SCC4 if it isn't already
2. right click on the source system and choose restore - then right click delete...
If you then refresh and the system reappears then I can't help...

My system is open in SCC4.
However I try it again and the system still there. Is like if it wouldnt exist anymore but remain in some funy table that does the icon appear on the scren!?!?!!?

After a support package implementation it worked.
I assume the support package had a correction for this issue...

Quick Suggestion in TRAINING its ok ,but never ever try to Delete from ur Working System.
As it deletes all ur Transfer Structure and Transfer Rules along with the Datasource.

i have an Architect and Landscape question here
I have a doubt here then what if at some later stage i need to change my source system A to other system B dont i need to delete original source system A here then??

I wont suggest that
If for any particular reason u r to change ur Source system(R/3) A to Source system(R/3) B.
As an Architect u need to make sure of ur Landscape u r connecting to and what Data u have extracted previously in to ur BW system and for what Year as all ur INITS and Delta r gone now and much more ....
But to answer ur question for deletion here
i would Rename my Source System A to Source System B.
Make an RFC connection to Source System B
Replicate Datasources (For source system B)
Transfer Global Settings (For Currency,UOM,Fiscal Year Variant)
Activate my Transfer Structures.
Should work
