Hi BW Gurus,
I searched 0CALDAY and could not find anything like the problem I have.
I have a problem with the 0CALDAY in the Update Rule of "Head Count & Personnel Actions" BC cube. I don't know why the consultant who activated the cube wrote the UR for 0CALDAY in 'Time Ref' as end of the month, we are using it as effective date. This UR included
'RS_BCT_HR_UPDATE_RULES_GENERAL' and 'RS_BCT_HR_PAPA_UPDATE_RULES'
as a result, they pass back the variable "last day of month".
I tried to created the Source Char instead of the routine, the system would ask me for the constant and ignore the fact that I selected the Source Char. I am new to this, I wonder if anyone know how to connect the 0CALDAY to the effective date? Please list everything in detail. Thanks a million!

would you mind sharing how you tried this? the way of thinking is correct... but maybe you did it wrong.

It was my fault, I tried to make change the update rule (time ref) from rountine to "Source Char" in the CON system not the Dev system! I was able to make the change in Dev and transported to Con and Prod. Thanks so much, talk to you next time.
