Query on BEx is not response

Question: hi all kindly BW seniors,

I'm a junior of SAP BW and new comer of SAP Fan, currently, I'm facing a problem on BEx Analyzer. In fact, I just want to test the query on BEx; therefore, I selected the queries that are provided by SAP (example of query: Query_Sales Overview). After that, the small dialog box appeared and show that "Waiting for reply from BW Server". However, there was no any result display on the screen, and the query got hang.

Even I have tried so many times to reinstall SAP GUI, it doesn't help anything. Do your guys have any suggestion? Do I have to verify a version of my SAP GUI whether compatible with the BW Plug-In?

Detail Information:
SAP GUI: 6.2 patch level 44
SAP BW: 3.1 patch level 13
SAP BEx: 3.0B patch level 8
OS: Windows XP
MS Offices: XP

Thanks in advance
Hussaya

And now, Hussaya is completely lost...
You should try to adapt the level of your answer to the level of the question.
If Hussaya speaks about reinstalling SAP GUI because of such an issue, I think we should tell him first that his problem is most probably NOT linked to sapgui, and then restart from the beginning step by step...

By the way, I am even not sure that Hussaya reached the query itself :
"I selected the queries that are provided by SAP (example of query: Query_Sales Overview). After that, the small dialog box appeared and show that "Waiting for reply from BW Server". However, there was no any result display on the screen, and the query got hang"

Hi Hussaya,
When you run queries in WindowsXP you get a small popup screen asking you "Do you wan't to save workbook? " Say no/yes to this for your query to execute otherwise your query will not be executed . This popup genrally hides behind the screen "Waiting for reply from BW Server" and hence you may not notice. ( This is what happens at my client place and Users keep complaining me that BW is not working). Try to move the screen "Waiting for reply from BW Server" and you will notice the save workbook popup screen It happens only in XP .

Do anyone know the reason and solution to supress this screen in XP? I serched OSS notes but did not find any.
