Question:
When searching this forum, there were several posts on how to create selection criteria by checking SELECTION in the ROOSFIELD table.
I did it - it didn't work
I want to test a start routine from ODS A to ODS B - full-upload - but only run it with a few datasets for testing purposes. So I looked up the OLTP-source-field in ROOSEFIELD, marked SELECTION, generated the datasource, replicated it, activated transfer-structure and communication-structure, found the selection-criterion in the infopackage, set it to the appropriate value, saved and started the IP - and still get the whole load.
Am I missing any steps - or do I have a wrong understanding of something?

1) what kind of selection did you choose ? (M,P,X,1,2,3,4)
2) did you test your extractor with RSA3 ?
3) which extractor are you using ?
I don't think you miss something.

i think .. the selection criteria every one was referring to was for selection with extractors in R3..
It looks like u are trying to generate a selection condition for loading from 1 ods to another ODS in BW.. This could be the issue..

That means, there is no way to select Datasets when loading from one ODS to another ODS, other than deleting everything else in the starting routine ?
