polling data from a XML source

Question: Hello guys (and girls of course)

we would to implement a xml loading scenario.

We know it is possibile to send a XML file to BW (30B) using the soap feature; the loading starts when an external application "pushes" the XML message into the SOAP service, so the starting event is raised by the sending application.

Is it possible to "schedule" the loading (just like an usual loading from r/3) (for example, every night load the data from the XML source; the starting event is raised by BW itself)...?

thank you and best regards

Diego

Answer:
Hi, in fact, when you initialize delta load of XML files, you must do it without data. Then the delta queue will be set up.

The Web server will then push the XML files whenever it wants.

You will have then to create and plan a delta infopackage to empty this delta queue whenever you also want.

Web server will load in real time your queue. BW will empty it every day/hour/week ...

You do not have the hand on the Web part, and in fact, you do not need.
