Could not connect to the BW server

Question: Hi BW Experts,

My problem goes like this... I'm running a workbook in BEx and a pop-up window appears for an input. After providing all the necessary inputs, it will execute a query and another pop-up window appears for query inputs (I guess). Everything is working fine up to this point. But after completing the required inputs for the query, I received an error ‘Could not connect to the BW server’. When I tried to log-off, I found out that I’m already disconnected from the BW system.

Could you help me how to resolve the issue? Thank you in advance!

Try to save setting checkbox option of BW server ID & password first . still id does not solve your problem check ur query frm query designer & see the assinment of char & attributes. As you told that you are getting this prob while running your query .



So in last try to install Gui ver 6.2 ( reinstall if you are already install it ) . try all standard default setting . It can solve your this problem.

I've tried the propose solution but it doesn't work. I'm also thinking that it's not a GUI problem because other user's get the same error too.

I've tried to run the query using RSRT and the execution is successful except that I got no result data from the query.

Please help me to understand if this is a data related error or technical problem. Also note that other query can successfully run in BEx.
