I think that you need to use the transaction ST03N in expert mode.
Also you can activate the statistics in the Business Content.
You can find more help in the OSS in some notes.
Be careful, before you can see the statistics you need activated it in the RSA1 (is a menu option).

BRCONNECT is probably not for all databases. ST03 will help you view the statistics data using a SAP GUI, where as technical content (BCT) will enable you to view reports on BEx. As suggested you will need to enable OLAP/WHM statistics for the required infoproviders in RSA1.
Statistics will provide data like OLPA time, Data loading time etc and not faults or errors!
