Question:
Anyone has any idea about how the time characteristics (0calweek etc) are populated in BW?
Thanks
Answer:
Maybe should you clarify your question.
If you have 0calweek and 0calday, for instance, in your cube,
you can just map a date coming from you infosource (invoice date, or whatever) to 0calday and 0calweek will be populated automatically based on this date as well, with regards to the factory calendar.
You may also 'screw up' the system by overwriting this automatic process with your own in the update rules.

Thanks, CHC, for the reply.
I think I will elaborate my clarification.
My question is how the SAP maintained table, for ex., /bi0/scalweek (master data table for time characteristics 0calweek) is populated?
In our implementation, for year 2004, I see entries upto 2004/53 (cal year/wk) in this table and at the same time, for year 2005, I dont see entries after 2005/15 ( ie., I dont see 2005/16, 2005/17, so on).
So, on what basis this table is populated?
I would appreciate if I get some clue on this!!!!
Thanks again....
Answer:
It's filled from the transactional data. If you don't have entries after 2005/15 it means that in all your infoproviders using 0CALWEEK there is no entry bigger than 2005/15, but there is -or there was- at least one entry with 2005/15.
