Question:
Hello all,
I have a formula and when I run my query I get in the totals row the number 42. If I instead make a sum in the properties of this formula, the number shown is then 35.
Now I have another formula where I want to use the SUM of the first formula and make a nother calculation.
How can I get this second formula to use the number 35 instead of 42?
We're on a BW 2.0B system
Kindest regards

Answer:
How about working with a formula (check the Data Functions - Result, ...)?

Answer:
I'd settle for the answer being 42.

El Belgio:
thanks for your reply, but I've tried that and do not get the correct figures.
A hitchhiker:
that is correct IF the question had been of a more philosophic matter, howevere in this case I'm not satisfied with a simple solution like that...
Answer:
HI,
One way is to push the calculation to the cube so that you get the arithmatic sum, that can be used in the second formula

Answer:
Hello and thank you for your input, but in this case since I have many millions of data records, I was hoping that I could solve this in BEx without having to reload the cube.
Ogf course this could be taken care of in BW 3.0B, but I still haven't given up solving this in 2.0
Kindest regards
