Any idea on what needs to be taken care of duirng & after upgrades?
as regards existing enhancements, the data in the cubes etc...
For example
say that i have added one keyfigure to a infosource/ODS/cube in version 2.1C
Now am upgrading to 3.0B and SAP also has enhanced the same cube with few more characteristics and keyfigures.
Any idea what would happen to my enhancement?
would it be lost?

the upgrade impact the business content, not the active version
no problem with your scenario as long as you don't want to use the upgraded version of the object
when you activate the upgraded object, you still have securities that ask you if you want to discard your changes or to try to merge it with the upgraded object
