Can anyone give me some info on the advantages/disadvantages of proccess chains and if and how it is possible to convert event chains into process chains. Does 30b give this functionality.

As far i know, 30 does not give the functionality to convert event chain to a process chain
to understand the functionality.. i recommend reading the help files.. they have a lot of info there..
also if i had to pick one. i would go with process chains.. (hope u don;t mind the little bugs process chains have)..

One of the bugs I found is that sometimes the load process (execute infopackage) keeps running, allthough all is processed well...
BUT the yellow llight keeps burning, and therefore when you use the AND command this yellow light will stop your process chain....
When you manually upload this infopackage, all goes well... butt the rest of the process chain will never be continued again... due to this little yellow light...

if you migrate from 21c to 30b you need to recreate all event chain in to process chains .. As far as I know we need to recreate..
