HI ,
we have a infocube in production havign about 5 years of financial data.
we have a situation to have anew business requirement of doing currency transaltion based on Rrate types.
As we dont find a standard methodology to do this from the existing know how's?
we have 2 options to do.
1) enhance the infocube to handle 2 additional keyfigure which are meant for P rate and Mrate and do the conversion and populate the appropirate KF in the cube. TO do this cube has to be modified and data reloaded ?
2) copy the existign cube and build all the requiremnts into it and initate the load.if In this case also it looks like i have to reload both the cube as well i think?
what best can be done to handle this situation.any help is highly appreciated.

Why not just buikd translation keys (/NRRC1) on you R-rates and use the standard BW technology to do your translation at query runtime?

HI TFR,
As of today we are using prate conversion and 2 rate conversion set up using RRC1 and usedi the queries.
we have defined at query level and set it to be valid for each year .etc.
It involves changign queries for each year becuse u nned to change the query definition to point to the latest rates .
But herafter they would be like to see report columns which has rate types for eg YTD with mrate, Ytd with Prate etc.
The requirement is such that u need to report multiple rate type conversion int he same report. That was the starting point for enhancement to the infocube.
