Question:
Hi,
How do you transport a query defined in the BEx Analyser from DEV system to Accept system ?
So far, I have changed the query in DEV.
Then, I am in BW DEV system in the transport part.
Then I need some help.
Thanks for your help,
MD
Answer:
Go to transport connection in Modelling
Click on the Truck icon with BEx to cerate a transport request with the correct 'package' info.
Then select your query, with grouping option 'Only necessary objects'
When you hit the Truck icon (only truck, without any text in it), it will automatically attach the query to the transport you created earlier.
Check if its all green, release it with appropriate documentation in it, and ask your basis to transport it.
This should get you started.

Answer:
Trasnporting queries is indeed a b*tch...
I normally don't use the automatic "change" request that are generated, because you never know what's exactly in there (1 transport for all query changes).
Basically i always unlock everyhting in the BEx request via SE03 and do normal "full" transports everytime i made a change. Works like a charm
Answer:
TR - Can you explain the steps on unlocking the objects using SE03 . Dou you release the request to unlock or is there any other way to unlock the objects
regards
PGH
Answer:
No, don't release it first, you can't unlock anymore then...
Just go to SE03 and on the left choose "unlock objects in request", in the next screen enter the request number... et voila
However, be very carefull with this !!! Know which objects you're unlocking to avoid inconsistencies...
