Allow Infopackages creation in production??

Question: Dear guru's,

I have a question regarding the use of infopackages in production environment. At this moment the client setting doesnot allow changes to the repository, so also it is not allowed to create infopackages.
Of course, this is very unpleasant to work with. On the other side, it is not a good thing to allow the objects in production to be changed.
Does anyone know of a way to be able to create infopackages in production without being able to change other objects?
thanks and regards,

Hi CoolWine,

You can do this in the following way. In the admisistrator workbench go to the transport connection. In this screen in the right upper corner select 'Object changeability'.Maintain the option 'ISIP Infopackage' to 'Everything changable'.

After that log on again before the changes have effect. In this way, you can change the infopackages without setting the overall staus of the system to changeable.

Hope this helps,

Kind regards,

hi

Other idea is make rsa1 display only to users who are not suppose to change settings . who are allowed to change bex tranport connection should have normal rsa1. You security could chnage rsa1 thru su24 or pfcg by creating a display only role.

Hi Gurus,

I posted this once before, somehow it did not come out. I accidently deleted a InfoPackage from a group IP in production. Can anyone tell me how to put it back? I still have this IP in the InfoSource area. Thanks!!!
