Question:
Due to R/3 changes and a power outage, the scheduled BW production jobs are not running like they used to. In most cases, I got stopped at the ' RFC source system successful?' as grey diamond and it won't continue.
Did anyone have the same problems? Is this the connection problem with the R/3, how can I fix them? When I ran flat file there is no problem at all.
This happened with text and master data. My other question is since I have the transaction files from the flat file, can I just ignore the master data and text load for now until I fix them. thanks for your inputs!

You didn't say what changes were performed in R/3. Therefore, it is hard to guess what may went wrong. However, you can first do a RFC connection check using SM59 in BW. If you can logon to R/3 and then logon back to BW, that indicates your RFC connection is not affected. Otherwise, you need to maintain the RFC connection.
You mentioned this problem only happended with the master data and text. If this is true, I'd guess your RFC connection is fine. Have you upgraded PI in R/3? Do a datasource replication and re-activate one or two affected InfoSOurces. Then try the load again see if that helps. Without details, cannot help you too much at this point.

Thanks so much for your info, I was able to check the RFC connections, they worked fine both ways. I don't know exactly what kind of changes they made in R/3 I'll try to find out tomorrow.
