Question:
Hi,
I created a proces chain and executed, successfully loaded the data into the Data Target. If the sequence fails How can i get the message to my mail box:
I did the following but it is not working:
step1: Right click on the "Load Data" Info Package
step2: Maintain Message
step3: Selected action for Successful / errors
step4: in Maintain Recipient list added my mail id
step5: saved and executed the process chain, but I am not getting the message to my mail box.
Please let me know where I have missed.
Thanks in advance
Answer:
Hi,
I was also facing the same problem.
There is a basis activity associated with this.
After you execute the transaction you will get the mail.
Pls consult your Basis Guy for this.

Hi,
I'm assuming that the messages you want to send should be sent via internet mail. If I'm wrong just ignore me.
You should check whether your SAP system is ready for sending internet eMails. Take a look in Tx SCOT whether there is a node INT and below this node a leaf SMTP that is displayed in green.
If that is the case make sure that eMails beeing sent really leave the queue. If you e.g. have plenty of mails in the waiting queue try to click the button "Start Send process" (you have to enter INT as the node that should be processed). After that they should be counted in the completed column.

Hi Kamaku,
Thank for the information. You are right, I want to send an email (Outside mail eg: yahoo etc.) while the Process chain fails. Can you please tell me how can I configure the email recepients list in SCOT (I know this is a basis job, but I have to take care of this too)?
Thanks for your suggestion
Answer:
Hi,
sorry for my late answer - wasn't online till now.
Configuring eMail sending is not very difficult - if you are the systemadministrator
1. go to Tx SCOT and doubleclick the SMTP leaf below the INT node
2. enter the full qualified domain name of your smtp server in the "mail host" field (e.g. myMail.my.domain.com)
3. check the "node in use" box
4. click the "set" button behind the internet and enter a * in the first line of the address areas table
all other entries can be left as they are by default
Then leave this dialog by clicking ok, select from the menu bar "Settings / Default Domain" and enter the domain (e.g. my.domain.com)
Afte this you should schedule the sender job to a certain time interval, otherwise you have to click the "Start send process" button each time you want eMails to leave the sap server.
Please be aware that the eMail address of a sap user must be accepted by your smtp-server, so do not enter test@sap.com when your mail server only allows sending *@my.domain.com mails.
I hope this will solve your problem.
