BEx Analyzer - run time error 339: component Rtx32.ocx

Question: Hello

I am not able to change an existing query or create a new query (this used to work). Running BW 3.1 and MS Excel (2000).

The BEx basically crashes and the error message is "run time error 339: component Rtx32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid".

Could you please let me know what needs to be done to resolve it. I checked OSS note and did not find any related notes.

Thank you,

Kathy

Answer:
Open BEx and from the Menu Business Explorer->Installation check.

Hit the start button and wait for the results, and check the red flagged ones if any.

If everyting seems ok, get your desktop help to login on your machine and do registry checks and/or reinstall the GUI.

Answer:
I made a search for the file Rtx32.ocx, found it in \winnt\system32, version 6.0.88.4. It's probably a windows comp. file & not a sapgui installed file. Don't you have a helpdesk?

Answer:
Good day,

Thank you for the feedback, that is exactly what I needed.

I liked the install check tool, that is great. When I run it, it referred me to OSS note 197460 and I forwarded a request to the Basis team to check and update the front end patches.

Unfortunately I do not have control over my front end or system files (do not have admin privileges), it is controlled centrally and comes as part of the image on my client.

That should fix it, but if it does not then I will write back (after I hear back from Basis and test).

Thanks again,

Kathy
