Hi everyone,
I am using 2LIS_13_VDHDR and 2LIS_13_VDITM infosources for my cube. In the query I get results as two lines, one for header and one for item. I want both to come in one line. How can this be achieved? Sameway, when schedule line is involved there are three lines. I am not using ODS.

Answer:
Whenever you display characterstics in which the values are common between the 3 levels, you will get one line. If you don't want to report on anything that is item or schedule line level specific you can exlude those fields from you cube or stop filling values in update rules for those fields.
For example, if you wan't to keep track of the number of items, but no characteristics for items, you can make sure that no item specific fields are filled in the update rule. Your key figure (number of items) will still be filled but aggregated.
If you want to do the above you need to understand some things about how update rules work, try reading at least the SAP documentation on the subject. You will find that update rules update each key figure with respect to all characterstics that you define update rules for.
