Finding Texts for masterdata

Question: Hi all!

I would like to have some guidlines about how to find texts that belongs to masterdata easier in R/3. Today, I create generic datasources for the infoobjects that needs it but it takes too long time for me to find the texttables in R/3. Anyone who knows some kind of shortcuts?

cheers!

Answer:
All masterdata have texts, if you take the effort to find them in the Business Content in BW. There are some MD that have text-only, and I am not sure if there are any that are attributes-only.

All you have to do is transfer them to BW through RSA5 and then replicate the DS in BW, and generate TRs in BW.

Answer:
Thanks for your answer. IŽll try to find them in RSA5. Although, I need texts also for standard fields (ex. abc-indicator) that we extract from e.x. MARC into Z_infoobjects in BW. For them I have to create generic datasources. but I have to search for a very long time to find the correct text tables for the fields..

Answer:
0ABCKEY is not defined as masterdata in the system. In your original post, you only mentioned "finding" texts for masterdata.

BTW, 0ABCINIDIC is a masterdata object and you will be able to find datsource in in R/3.

Also see if you have the latest plug-in compatible with your release of R/3-BW. This would update some datasources and bring in new ones( )
