Delete Master data - save hierarchy

Question: Dear all,

I want to delete master data of an InfoObject, e.g., Cost Element - 0COSTELMNT. The reason for this is that i am connecting BW to R/3 production and I want to delete all the data I have loaded from R/3 development. But I want to keep hierarchies mannually created.

1. If I go to InfoObjects / delete master data, will this delete the hierarchies i have created? Is there any way to keep hierarchies.

2. for some reason, when i try to delete master data, sometimes i got the message that master data is used on queries!?!?! is this reasonable? what can i do to be able to delete the master data?

thanks in advance
best Regards

Answer:
Hi EF,

If u delete master data from any infoobject it will not delete your hierarchies data for ur second ques I 'll check and let u know i think if that data is used in any infoproviders then u can delete master data anyway i'll let u know
