Question:
I created a simple InfoSpoke and tested it on our dev system. Everything worked well. Following problems occurred in the QA system. Are they normal?
1) I had "Delete table before extraction" checked. It physically deleted the table and failed to regenerate it. So, extraction failed. Dictionary table definition still exists. I had to go to SE14 and recreate the database table. This happens every time - so I just can't extract data. Is there a way to just delete data - not drop the table? Did not experience this problem in development system.
2) The "Selection" tab is disabled in QA system. Should I not be able to choose what data needs to be extracted? I can't foresee the user's requirement. How can I solve this problem?
3) This is an extension of question 1. I unchecked "Delete table before extraction" and transported to QA. It failed to uncheck in QA server! I had to delete the InfoSpoke, create a new one, and transport to QA.
4) How can I delete a "Destination?" When I deleted an InfoSpoke, it retained the Destination. If I do F4, it shows all the destinations that I have created in the past.
