Question:
In SAP R/3, Business Content for 0Mat_Plant_Attr datasource does not have 2 fields on it that I would like. The extract structure it is built on (BIW_MARC_S) does have them. I have tried to get these fields on the datasource, but I am obviously doing it wrong, because it's not working. How can I add these fields to the datasource, when they are already on the extract structure, but just not selected to come over to BW?

Hi Lisa,
The fields are probably hidden. You can check this is RSA6 on the R/3 system. Find your datasource in the tree and click the edit button in the toolbar. All the fields are listed and there is a 'hide field' column. Also a column called 'Field only known in customer exit'. A tick in either column will prevent the field from being available in BW.

Thanks, Jon, but this is not the case. The fields are not on the datasource at all. And if I look at the datasource in ROOSFIELD, these fields that I want are flagged as "Not Relevant for the BW Extractor". I just don't know how to edit it to make them relevant.
Any other ideas?
