Question:
Hello
I am trying to extract from CRM into cube CRM Marketing Actual Values (Technical name: 0CRM_C02) for marketing campaign reporting.
Sorry if this is a basic question... but I have checked again and again:
1/ the business content documentation (HELP.SAP.COM) for this infocube but it does not list the infosource used (even in the latest release)
2/ the business content does not have any datasources listed for this cube
2/ RSA6 and BWA5 and did not find any datasource that has that name/description. I searched description and technical name for all possible search keys e.g. actual, current, marketing, campaign etc
If you have used that cube or know of a work around, please give me a hint...
Thank you in advance,
Kathy
Answer:
The reason that you do not see any datasources for this cube is that it is a transactional cube. The data is updated utilizing planning layouts from BPS. Typically actuals are read from the COPA cube(s) and aggregated in this cube using BPS copy functions.
Answer:
Hi BWCRMGURU
Thank you, I really appreciate your response. The issue is that current the CRM documentation is not updated and does not contain details regarding datasources or the fact that it is transactional.
I am using BW and CRM but not SEM.
Can I use these two cubes even though I do not have SEM? or may be just actuals?
Thanks,
Kathy
Answer:
Sorry I have been on vacation. If you want to use the cube CRM Marketing Actual Values, 0CRM_C02 you have to use SEM-BPS. There is no extractor available to move the data from CRM to BW. Typically the Marketing activities are captured in CRM and as part of this process SEM is called and the 'planned' values are written immediately to the cube upon saving. The actual values are read from a source cube, such as COPA by BPS and can then be summarized and written into the 0crm_c02 cube. What you need is a design architect who knows SEM, CRM, and BW.
Answer:
Hi bwcrmguru:
Hope that you had a good vacation.
Thank you for the feedback, that is very helpful as this is not documented.
My biggest issue is that I do not have SEM... which means that I cannot use this cube then.
So my next question is if one wanted to report on campaigns (no planning) e.g. campaign success, what is the standard cube you can use as a starting point?
Thank you again,
Kathy
