Hi all,
I would like to restrict the display of charactreristic values. In other words, I would like to display only those char values that meet a certain criteria and display a blank in case of those which do not. Eg. In a query, I want to display States which are equal to 'NY' and hide any other value for state.
When I tried restricting the char with value 'NY'. It restricts the entire query based upon that value(thats not what i need). I would like to display in the column, only values ='NY' and display a blank for any other values.
SAP BW 3.0.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a job for Virtual Characteristics to me.... This would be a characteristic called maybe "Result State" that would contain the restricted state values.
