i have the following scenario.
I have got an ods object in which i m having delta loads and i have made up routine which modifies the data in the ods object.
There is one infocube which picks up the data from this ods that is ods is the datasource for this infocube.
The update rule for the infocube is 8[ods name].
I want to create a process chain which deletes the data from the infocube
and uploads all the data from the ods. the "update data into data targets
" checkbox in ods has not been checked.

You don't need a process chain for this.
Create an infopackage on your 8[odsname], and in the datatarget tab, flag the checkbox "delete entire content of datatarget"
