we have a Generic Extractor (Built on a Functional Area).
i need to enhance the same with some fields from a Z table.
is it possible ? bcos i cant find the sturcture to enhance the extractor

Here goes the answer.
Please go to Roosource table and enter the datasource name. ( in r3)
You should find the entry. This will give you the structure that you are
looking for.
Also, The answer to your question is in two parts .
1. yes, you need to find the structure and enhance it
2. You need to fix the functional area with more fields.
This means a lot more work. Hope you know how to build the functional area.
Also, I like to suggest to you that starting with 2002.1 Functional area concept has been dropped. They have provided functions interface. This is much simpler. Ofcourse, one needs to know good ABAP.
Answer:
Goto SBIW last option (Post processing of DataSources > Edit DataSources)... select your DataSource and click on Enhance Extrct Struct.
That shoul look familiar...
