Has any one worked on wild card search in query.
Say for example Variable in query SBOB* should give me all the entries related to SBOB .
Bex or WEB solution anything is fine

Not that know of, i havent been able to work with wildcards in query.
I do not think it is possible but i may be wrong, would love to know if anyone was able to do this.

I think that it is available in service packs higher than SP11, because up to this SP a search for textes wasn't possible at all.
Have a look at the documentation enhancements

I am not sure how efficient it is but i guess we can do work around thru USER EXIT in BEx,populating thru variable.

I tested it with a query on sales orders... created by 'DER*' gave me all orders created by users whose userid starts with 'DER'
