Question:
Hi fellas,
problem since 2 days: when I'm in a workbook and want to select a filter in the navigation block, the popup shows up. But then, I have to wait about 60-70 seconds, but sometimes more than 250 seconds. Not good, especially not because users are complaining.
In SM50, I see long time on SAPLRSDU_S. OSS suggested to do dbstatistics again, but no result. And now, OSS don't know it anymore.
Any suggestions?
Cheers,
G.
Answer:
We are seeing a similiar problem, but from the display of the variables selection on the web. I have just started looking at it.
I will update this message if I have anything. Please let me know what you discover.

Answer:
Have you tried looking into the setting at the Infoobject level? You may want to try setting it to Filter according to Master data during query execution.

Priya,
Does that setting at the InfoObjecdt level really influence the variable selection screen. I would think that the variable selection screen would not worry about field (InfoObject) contents until it went to either Check or browse (F4 / selection) the values for the variable inputs.
It doesn't make sense for it to try and read the value list for each of the selections/variables on input into a report, especially since you could have the case of pre-selected values, or people typing in the values and the value list would not be needed. It would seem fairly poor programming if that were the case.
Do you have any information which would indicate the InfoObjectd level setting for reading values affects the variable input screen?

Stephen - the question refered to a filter in the navigation not the variable pop-up so Priya's reply was correct.
